Swimming Lessons

Alek just completed his first swim lessons. We weren't going to put him in lessons this year since it is so expensive but Evan's Mom connected us with one of her teacher friends who has taught lessons for years. Thank you so much Mom! She taught him for a week and a half with 30 minute sessions and now he can swim! Since Evan is off for the summer, he took him to the lessons every day and the first week was pretty rough. Lots of crying and protesting. Then we swam as a family on the 4th of July and he showed me everything he had been learning (since I hadn't seen it yet) and he was just beaming with confidence. On the 4th he didn't want to stop swimming. Everything clicked with him. We are so grateful that we had this opportunity for Alek to learn such a great life skill by such a wonderful teacher.
